Accounting Manager/Business Manager

Portland Radio Group is a  broadcasting and digital media company operating radio stations WBAE, WCLZ, COAST 93.1, WPOR, WGAN, Rewind 100.9, and WZAN, serving the Portland, Maine market is seeking an Accounting Manager / Business Manager to join its team.

Business_Manager_PNGThis full-time position, based in South Portland, Maine is a full charge accounting position with responsibility for three members of the business office team.

The Accounting manager is responsible for all of the financial reporting, human resources and office management. These responsibilities include financial statement preparation including work papers and related schedules, general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, budgeting, credit/collections, human resources, benefits administration, day-to-day management of customer service team (traffic director, billing manager, and receptionist). Qualified candidates must have a college degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting and decision-making position (broadcasting office experience preferred). Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus.

Musts: able to function in a fast-paced and self-directed environment, be organized and flexible since must juggle a variety of duties, have analytical skills to interpret data and problem solve, strong computer skills with accurate data entry, detailed oriented, an excellent communicator who can work well with a variety of personalities and handle HR issues. You must also be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
